Mrs. Sutphin is a member of the Indonesian BAR and continues to practice law including courtroom litigation.

Mrs. Sutphin has experience handling Matrimony, Immigration, Criminal, Civil and Family legal issues. She has experience in property management, entertainment contracts, tour and travel, managing and developing personnel and projects which increase operational efficiency. Anita has the unique experience of working on the USA immigration process from both country perspectives by assisting with the application process in Indonesia and also working with an Immigration Law Firm in the United States. While in the United States, Anita is a certified Notary Public and has assisted numerous immigrants while seeking citizenship and those already in the country that are unable to quickly return home. Anita’s experience also includes service with the U.S. League of Women Voters assisting immigrants with voting privileges.

Anita Sabara Sutphin is fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia and has served as a language assistant providing cultural and linguistic assistance for contractors of the U.S. Department of Justice, ICITAP program in Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines. Anita has gained her Business Management, Ownership and Development skills by developing her own business as a Tour, Travel & Event Organizer. Mrs. Sutphin can provide guidance to both local and foreigners in new business development.

Mrs. Sutphin is a resourceful, experienced Attorney. She earned her International Law Degree graduating Summa cum laude from the Christian University of Indonesia. Mrs. Sutphin also earned an additional Summa cum laude Degree in Public Relations (B.A.). She also has completed studies at the Rowan College at Burlington County, NJ and Paralegal certifications. She is certified as a U.S. Notary Public. Anita seeking additional expertise, she just completed her Master’s degree in Law cum laude from Christian University of Indonesia. She is currently a Doctoral candidate of the University Kristen Indonesia School of Law.

Nikson Gans Lalu is a Partner of the Sabara Sutphin Attorneys at Law. A Law Firm created to Serve, Protect and Defend.
He is a member of the Indonesian BAR. Mr. Gans Lalu. started his career as an Advocate and Legal Consultant for the Legal Aid and Awareness Institute for the Adil Sejahtera Forum (LPBH-FAS), which is an NGO that concentrates on advocacy for workers and farmers. Since being a student in Semarang, he has also been active in student organizations and served as PP-GMKI and Secretary General of the DPP GAMKI.

As an advocate, he also handles criminal, civil, state administration, labor, election disputes, regional elections, and judicial review of laws in the Constitutional Court as well as internal disputes of political parties at the Party Court.

In 2014, he was included in the Legal Team for Candidates for President Joko Widodo and Candidate for Vice President Muhammad Jusuf Kalla. In 2019 he was also on the Legal Team for Candidates for President Joko Widodo and Candidate for Vice President Ma’ruf Amin.

To be successful in both, a lawyer must have deep analytical skills, thoroughness, be a good negotiator and have a willingness to keep learning.

Prior to joining Sabara Sutphin Attorneys at Law, Praicy worked as a Spokesperson at an Indonesian legal aid non-government organization, Lembaga Bantuan Hukum Keadilan Rakyat where she not only defended the interests of the victim in order to get protection by the law but also educated people through webinar series.
Praicy joined Sabara & Sutphin Attorneys At Law in August 2022 as a lawyer, prior to which he worked as a junior associate at another law firm in Jakarta, where he focused on a variety of practice areas, including commercial and criminal litigation, dispute resolution, restructuring & insolvency, manpower, intellectual property, regulatory & compliance. He has also helped clients to navigate the criminal justice process, including assisting them during interviews with the police and in filing police reports.
Praicy spent a number of years working at the Jakarta Legal Aid Institute, before joining another prominent law firm, where he gained significant first-hand experience in litigation and dispute resolution.

She has successfully handled and won more than 10 Industrial Relations cases before the District Court (Pengadilan Negeri), in addition to handling various other civil and criminal cases.

As an advocate, she specializes in Industrial Relations, with a particular focus on advocacy and dispute resolution between employers and employees — including termination of employment, collective bargaining, and labor disputes before the Industrial Relations Court (PHI). She also handles civil and criminal cases.

She is an active member of PPKHI (Persatuan Pengacara dan Konsultan Hukum Indonesia / Indonesian Association of Lawyers and Legal Consultants). She also serves as Secretary of Lintas Angkatan Alumni FHUI (the cross-generation alumni association of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia), and sits on the Permanent Committee for Industrial Relations and Social Security (Jamsos) at KADIN (Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry), Bogor Regency.
